The Jar

So there is a large jar, like costco size jar, of pickle juice (we HOPE it is pickle juice, that is what the jar is labeled and it is a yellow liquid contained in it) outside one of the houses in our neighborhood. I am only talking about it because it as now been outside the house for the better part of a week. Not really sure if it is a spiritual thing or what. If anyone has any idea why it would be here, please let me know. Starting to gross me out.

I got to have my first pregnancy emotional hormonal breakdown, yea! I was tired, stressed and work did not end very nice. Toss in some hormones and BAM Julia cries her eyes out. Not looking forward to having another one anytime soon. I even cried when I started to talk about it later that night with James, over 12 hours later. I think it freaked him out. Ask my family I am not the crier, that is Ginny or Katy.

James and I went to visit Luke and Sabrina last night. Baby Adalyn is so very cute! She snores! Congratulations Anderson Family!!!

James practicing.

Comfy in her little rocker

Ok so I know Paula wants to see a photo of the baby bump, we took our first photo the other day. I am just not sure if I am ready to show it to everyone. Here goes, no judging people.

On my way to the gym, this was a few weeks ago. I have gotten bigger since then.

Bumble must really like blogging b/c he/she is VERY active as I type. Hopefully, doc says James should starting being able to feel baby around 24-25 weeks. Had check-up yesterday, my BP and weight are great and baby's heartbeat is normal and strong. Have gained around 7lbs, go me! We will have another sonogram the monday we get back from the cruise. Ok I am going to go relax until my spa appointment starts.

Biding My Time

In 1 week I will be in the Caribbean on Royal Caribbeans' Serenade of the Seas. This will be a much needed and earned vacation for James and I. SO SUPER EXCITED!!! Looking forward to relaxing by the pool and exploring the islands. Also super pumped for fresh fruit (not really sure why, we have great fruit up in Dallas but want the fruit from the ship more).

Back to work, finally, it seems. Politics at work are starting to annoy me. Ran into an old acquaintance from presby who works in L&D (labor and delivery for you non-medical folks). Seriously considering a change for a bit, no rash decisions to be made while preggors however.

Happy note, I finished the J-Squared Wedding Srap-book. YEA!! It goes from our engagement to the wedding and then I included a special page about our 1 year anniversary. It is so super cute, I LOVE it. I want to hurry up and getting our wedding photography book now though, hurry up Joseph Mark!

Some people have asked me why we are calling the baby "bumble" right now. So long story short, my amazing husband has been obsessed with calling any of our children Sasquatch. (It was and sometimes still is doctor). I dislike both of these names. Well one day we were talking about the claymation Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer, specifically Yukon Cornelius (sorry if I butcher the name). Then I remembered that they call the Sasquatch in that movie a bumble, and come on bumble is kind of a cute name for unborn baby. Told James this and it stuck, I think it is really cute. We went a registered the other day (totally overwhelming for 1st time parents FYI) and Babies R Us has a "bumble" collection. It's like they knew! Side note we are doing cloth diapers so please do not buy us any regular ones, I have a specific list of diapers that I want. That sounds so snotty, I do apologize.

Bumble's 1st Outfit

Meant to post this forever ago. Auntie Caitlin bought Bumble his or her first onesie with matching booties a while ago. I think the outfit is super cute and very appropriate.

I should Not be left alone

So bored before work, feeling SO much better right now. However, I just bought like 20 maternity clothing items. I really should not be left alone with a computer or credit card. In my defense these are probably going to be the ONLY maternity clothes I will buy. Mostly shorts and some cute tank tops. Goodness me. But hey I need them before the cruise.

My oh My

What an interesting week it has been. First of all my unit has been closed so I have not been to work since last Friday, kinda frustrating when you are trying to save your PTO for this thing called maturnity leave. Come people of Dallas, get sick, give me some business. Please. Have spent my days off being better homemaker, laying out in the sun, shopping and spending money I shouldn't be, cleaning (sorta) and chillin' with James.

On a happier note my diaper bag came in (see here). James and I also started our registery at babiesrus. Registering for a baby is not as much fun as registering for a wedding. There is SO MUCH STUFF. Then you see all the stuff that you want and your start going hrm, where is this all going to go? James has been making fun of me b/c I have been cleaning out our closets and brochures we have saved from various trips. Hey I would rather move a few scrap books then boxes of paper and what not. I guess my version of nesting is decluttering.

We got a new roof this week too. Yea homeownership. Trying out best to prep the house for selling next March/April. Anyone know of some cheap but nice townhomes in Richardson area we could rent while we sell the house?

Scottie chopped my hair off on Thursday (photos below). I LOVE it. He usually doesn't like preggos do such drastic things but I begged just a little bit, plus he loves me. It is super cute, kinda crazy that I can not have a pony tail at all, but I think it will grow out pretty fast. Going to be great for the cruise. Please ignore my tired eyes, I have been up for a while and was unable to take a nap before work.

Our Pretty Roses
Speaking of no nap, this cute little bugger Jay (my nephew). Who will play and play and play UNTIL you get him on camera then he freezes up. It appears Jay-bird has decided to get Julia, Chan-Chan, Grandma Laurie, Katy, Ginny and Papa Walters all sick. To put it polietly I am super achy right now and marked my territory at the Kroger parking lot. (Lovely I know, I was just happy I was able to get my seatbelt off, door open and car parked in time so that I did not mess up the car). Hopefully will be able to get some amazing sleep tomorrow and then feel a little bit better. I still love him tons, such a sweet boy. Unless you are changing his diaper and then he screams bloody murder, go figure.

To back track a little bit, before I got sick on Friday. James and I went and checked out the Dallas Auto Show on Thursday, have narrowed my mommy cars down to these three:

Acura RDX

Nisson armada

Subaru Outback

We will need to go and test drive them but at least I was able to narrow them down. Now comes the hard part of actually picking one out.

OK I guess I should go help out. Might go make a heating pad for my neck and back, yea illness.

Goodness Me

So James and I have been very busy since the last post so long ago. (Sorry for the tease, promise to try and be a little bit more regular about blogging, new to this whole thing.)

We recently celebrated our 1 year anniversary, YEA! Only like 100 more to go or so. Had a nice relaxing day just the two of us. James really wanted to drink our nice bottle of champagne but I said no. Hey if I can not enjoy it neither can he.

We are expecting our first child in August. It is still kind of a shocker to me, holy crap we are going to be parents. Now that I am finally getting the lovely 'baby bump' I think it is getting real for James too. We are affectionately calling the baby bumble for the time being. Let me just answer 2 questions right now: 1) No we are not going to find out the sex 2) Yes we have some names we like, but we are not going to tell you.

James is jealous because I get to feel bumble move now and he can not. It is the strangest feeling you will ever have and yet so incredibly humbling and amazing at the same time. Bumble likes to be really active while I am at work around 0500-0600 for some reason.

Here are some photos from our most recent sonogram:
Foot
Ok can not seem to figure out how to turn the photos the way they are supposed to be. Anywho, the brain and heart are formed and working properly. Kidneys are functioning and we even got to see urine in the bladder. Sonograms are pretty amazing, I must admit. So in a nutshell, mamma and baby are both happy and healthy.

On another note, I have finally started scrap-booking our wedding. In addition to our wedding, I also finished a scrap-book of all our friends and families wedding/shower/etc invitations. I have been a very productive mamma. I am so addicted to this stuff. I am not even really the creative one in our family but wow, give me some paper, stickers, glue sticks and photos: BAM! (I included a couple photos from J-Squared Wedding album.) I think I have seriously gone to Micheals/Hobby Lobby like 4 times in the past 2 weeks, it is kind of embarrassing. Oh well. Maybe I will make for Bumble, not sure at the moment.

Ok well I think I have written enough for tonight, more again soon.
